Our Weekend

This weekend was the annual Bainbridge Fire Department's pancake breakfast.
We had some pancakes and took a fire truck ride on one of the new engines, it was fun because Josh got to ride on the back of the truck in his bunker gear.

Jay was so sweet, he kept staring at Josh on the back of the engine like, "umm... dad, why are you back there?!"
Jay got a little hat and a junior firefighter badge!  I loved going to the Pancake Breakfast when I was little and I know when Jay is a little bit older and can appreciate what's going on he's really going to love it!

Here's a picture of us w/ Josh in his gear!
[is it just me or is Jay's hair looking a bit ginger-esque?!]

After warming up we headed back out to do some shopping and Claire spotted a huge find:
3 pumpkins for $10... ANY SIZE!!

I'm thinking I might need to go back and get some more!

thoughtless thursday

My thoughts:
1.  I am the mother of a boy w/ 4 teeth[!!!] and I'm really wondering when Jay is going to start walking. Jay can now pull himself up on furniture and walk along the couches/chairs in our house, sometimes he lets go and just stands there wobbling.  It's so weird that my "little" baby is getting so big, @ his 9month appointment he was off the charts for height and weight!!

2.  This weekend is my mom's 25 year class reunion and I'm so excited for her!  We went shopping for an outfit and totally scored:

this picture/manikin does NOT do this dress justice, it is the most gorgeous color of purple and I love the detailing on the neckline!

and we got this Lauren Conrad lace jacket to go with it, the dress doesn't have much texture to it so the lace jacket is perfect.

she is gonna be one hot mama, but what's new! :)

3.  Is it wrong that I love to watch Jersey Shore?!  I think it is so crazy and hilarious, we [Josh and I & our siblings] quote it all the time and... we now refer to Thursday as Jersday.

4.  This weekend is the annual pancake breakfast at the Fire Dept.  I'm really looking forward to it.  Josh is working the fire truck rides- Jay loves the lights and sirens, we may have a 3rd generation Firefighter on our hands...

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for some Wee Bit of Me Wednesday and today I am also joining in for the 1st time w/ What I'm Loving Wednesday!!

{one} grilled or fried?

Grilled, my honey does work on the grill!

And can I just say that there is nothing sexier than watching your man cook! Yummy food and some eye candy, totally a win-win situation :)

{two} if you could change one thing about where you live, without worrying about money, what would you change?
Well, Josh, Jay and I are living with my mom and siblings right now helping out during this mess of a divorce my parents are going through. Someday we will have our own place again and I often dream about it but I wouldn't change a thing right now because we're all here together for each other during this yuck.

{three} what is your favorite time of day?

Right about 10:00 am.
I'm usually just getting off work from the coffee shop and get to come home and spend some time with the Beahan boys before Josh heads off to work for the day.

{four} what’s your favorite cereal?
I don't have cereal very often but every once in awhile I really crave some cinnamon toast crunch- yum!

{five} do you open your mouth when you put mascara on?
Yes, I've tried not to and it's pretty much impossible.

{six} if you could make any fictional character come to life, which would it be?
Ron Weasley

{seven} what are your favorite pizza toppings?
 veggie pizza!!

{eight} are you a heavy or a light sleeper?
I used to be the hardest sleeper but since having Jay I find myself waking up if I hear any noise that might possibly be him.

{nine} what is your favorite board game?

{ten} what star/celebrity do most people say you look like?
People used to tell me that I looked like a white Tyra Banks but I honestly don't think I look like any celebrity, maybe that just means I need to be one? ;)

I'm loving this little boy:

[Here we are today feeding the horses]

I'm loving his sweet personality, he is the
happiest little guy!

I'm loving Pandora while cleaning the house.

I'm loving all of my festive fall/Halloween decorations (my friend Ashley and I went on a mission to find fall decor on Monday and got some great finds!)  I'll have to post some pictures in my next post.

Happy Wednesday!

Is it just me or does it seem like this week is FLYING by?!

Super Sonics and the twitter bug

Once upon a time in a land called Seattle there was an NBA team called the Seattle Supersonics.  The Supersonics brought joy to land and all was well.  Until one day a bad and evil man named Clay Bennett came to town.  Clay Bennett stole the precious Supersonics and moved them many miles away to a town far far away then he changed their name to the Oklahoma City Thunder
and the city of Seattle was very sad :(

Needless to say the absence of the Supersonics in Seattle is a sore subject in our household!!  Josh and I both are basketball players and huge basketball fans.  Our 1st date was to a Sonic's game!! There was an awesome documentary made called "Sonicsgate" by a group thats sole purpose is to bring back the NBA to Seattle! You can watch the movie for free on their website.  My best friend's boyfriend and fellow Sonic's fan, Mike, and Josh went to the movie's premier.
Mike has started a petition to bring back the Sonics!
"With over 40 years of history, the Seattle Supersonics were stolen from Seattle thanks to personal greed and  lack of city and state government support.  This travesty should never be forgotten.  Let's petition local policy makers to entice the NBA to place a team in Seattle and bring back the Seattle Supersonics."
You don't have to be a Sonic's fan, live in the Seattle area or even like basketball to sign the petition but I'd love you forever if you'd sign it and would really like to help him out with some signatures from blogland!!  It's super simple, just click *here* and type in your name and your e-mail address (since it's a petition they must verify that it is you that signed the petition) click the link in the e-mail to confirm your signature and that's it! You've just helped Seattle get one step closer to having an NBA team again!!

On a lighter note, I opened a twitter account.
Do any of you guys have twitter?!   My sweet husband opened one with me so that we could figure it out together and now had 3x more followers than me, haha!  If you have twitter or tweet or whatever I'd love to follow you or you follow me or both!
 My username is: BrittBeahan

Have a great night! Over & Out! xoxo
